NOTE: Also a licensed mortgage loan originator in Georgia, Florida and Texas.
Helping people by bringing order to a chaotic situation has been my life’s work for more than three decades, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I got into the “helping people” business when I became a junior firefighter at the age of 13 in Long Island, NY. My family moved to southern Florida when I was 16, and I became a paid firefighter at 18. For the next 22 years, I divided my time between firefighting, completing my higher education degrees and raising my own family.
It was a neighborhood poker game in 2005 that initiated my entry into the mortgage business. A neighbor said he could use help at his mortgage brokerage and my life as a firefighter allowed time for me to take on a second job. I quickly realized that, even in the mortgage business, I was still running to help solve problems that others were running away from, and that helping people realize the dream of homeownership had many similarities with helping people experience a fire or medical emergency. In both cases, many people can experience high amounts of stress and the situation can be confusing and disorienting at times. I get personal satisfaction in helping people get through these times in their lives.
I believe that, if done correctly, the mortgage process really shouldn’t be stressful, so I go out of my way to explain each step in order to leave my clients with a better understanding of what is needed to prepare a full and complete file.I address any potential questions well in advance, and when I tell someone they are pre-approved, they can shop for their dream home with confidence.
Toward the end of 2011, my wife was offered job as a Vanderbilt Hospital LifeFlight nurse. Although I wasn’t keen at the time to move north, she had been following me around Florida for 15 years as I chased my dream, so now it was her turn. When we moved to Middle Tennessee, I joined Accurate Mortgage and have been very happy with my choice.
It may not come as a surprise, but, when I’m not spending time with my family, my favorite hobby is volunteering for the Williamson County Fire Rescue Squad. When I am with my wife and children, we enjoy traveling, fishing and playing sports together. Aside from the history and gorgeous scenery in Middle Tennessee, I love the people here. The community we live in is filled with kind-hearted people that are always willing to jump in and lend a hand when someone is in need. I believe that happiness comes from surrounding yourself with likeminded people. We’ve definitely found that here.

“Quick and thorough. What a great experience we had with Chris! This was our second time working with him, and it won’t be our last. Everything was smooth and they had us approved and closed without a long wait.”
“The loan process was a very outstanding experience for me and I would not change any part of the process. I am very happy that I made the call to Chris to get the loan started. I was given Chris’ information by one of my coworkers, who had just completed the closing of her loan. She was very happy with the process and referred Chris to me.”
