When you’re forced to leave your hometown with your young family in tow due to the destruction of your home by a hurricane, you get a very good lesson in how to stay calm in stressful situations and how to help others do the same. I know what it’s like to be under pressure to find financing for a new home and to do everything possible to get a loan closed on time, because I’ve been on both sides of that coin.

 

A native of New Orleans, LA, I moved my family to Nashville in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home. When everyone else decided to move to Houston after the storm, we set our sights on Music City and are so glad we did. I really like experiencing all four seasons, the beautiful scenery, the restaurant scene, the great roads (trust me, these roads are heavenly compared to where I come from) and the fact that there’s music on every corner – just like in New Orleans.

 

When I entered the mortgage industry, I was able to draw from my extensive background in sales and event management. That’s where I honed my skills in meeting time-sensitive deadlines. When you’re in charge of pulling off major events for thousands of people, it becomes second nature. But what I love best about being in the mortgage industry is helping guide people through making one of the largest decisions of their lives. If you’re looking for someone who is honest and straightforward, I’d be honored to help you get financing for the home of your dreams.

 

In addition to experiencing all the Nashville area has to offer with my family, I like to run and work on classic motorcycles. I’ve rebuilt a few in the past, and I currently own a 1974 Yamaha xs650 Bobber, which I built from scratch. And although moving to Nashville was definitely a good decision for our family, adding our little Scottie dog, Barkus, to the family was easily the smartest. (He’s named for the Barkus dog parade that occurs every year during Mardi Gras.)
