I love a challenge, especially when the outcome involves an improvement to someone else’s life. I think that may be the best part about working in the mortgage industry – seeing the difference I can make in someone’s life just by doing my job well. In my opinion, it all starts with being a good listener.

 

I learned how important it was to be a good listener in law school, and this continued to be beneficial when I owned a business dealing with the title-research aspect of the housing industry. It was at this time that I discovered what it took to be a good mortgage loan advisor, and I thought it might be a career I would enjoy. I was right.

 

Listening helps me put my clients at ease. What I hear from them allows me to choose the right loan product for their particular circumstance. But it’s the discipline and drive that got me through law school and aided me in running a business that set me up for success as a loan advisor. My knowledge of the law and experience with working with tax-defaulted properties gives me a unique perspective on aspects of the housing industry that other loan advisors don’t have, and I’m happy to put that knowledge to work for my clients.

 

A native of Northern California, I moved to San Diego when I was 17. I spent a lot of time at the beach and in the outdoors. Two years ago, a former job opportunity brought me to Middle Tennessee. I had visited Nashville a few years before and knew, if there was one other place I’d like to live besides California, it would be Nashville. Now I get to enjoy the outdoors here and all the many entertainment options, too. When I’m not assisting clients, you can most likely find me baking (if you have a good cookie recipe, let me know!) or running, two of my newest passions. I also love animals and hope to one day own a rescue shelter for senior dogs.
